Plot Summery
Originally the Silver Skulls' homeworld was Lyria. Sometime in M33, Veteran Sergeant Igneus was secretly corrupted to Nurgle. Lyria was attacked by forces of Nurgle while the bulk of the chapter was away in other warzones. Eldar tried to intervene, but they were defeated and fell back. Silver Skulls enacted the sanction of Exterminatus upon it to prevent it from falling under the control of the forces of Nurgle, rendering it a Dead World. The chapter's war banner was lost, and the traitor *Veteran Sergeant Igneus survived, slowly being twisted and distorted until he was Lesser Daemon of Nurgle. He absorbed organic matter over 8 millennia, and if left undisturbed, it would invite the attention of Typhus, who would unleash horror on unsuspecting nearby worlds. Eldar saw this future and came to the old fortress monastery to end the threat; however, they were too few in number. Luckily, thanks to the vision of two banners that came to Prognosticator, Bhehan and Talriktug came to the fortress monastery. Eldar Farseer proposed a temporary alliance, which the space marines begrudgingly accepted. After joining forces, Farseer and Prognosticator Bhehan psychically linked and banished Lesser Daemon of Nurgle. The vision of two banners was fulfilled. With the truce over, space marines turned their weapons on the Eldar and killed them all. That's when the chapter's old war banner was rediscovered, yet Prognosticator Bhehan felt he had been rendered impure by the experience and isolated himself on board the strike cruiser Prevision of Victory.
