Unflinching Steel
The Unflinching Steel is a Freeblade Knight, who abandoned House Lucaris once they fell to Heresy.[1]
History
Since then, the Freeblade had fought valiantly for the Imperium, which included defending the Astra Militarum fortress, Graggen Keep, from an attack by numerous Traitor Guard Regiments. Though the fortress on the Death World Friggenswald, was only defended by a few Guardsmen, the Freeblade's firepower kept the Traitor Guard at bay. Unfortunately, this was proven to be nothing but a ruse, as the Chaos Knights of Lucaris soon appeared near the fortress. With this, the Traitor Guard withdrew from the battle, as they had fulfilled their duty of keeping the Unflinching Steel within Graggen Keep. The Chaos Knights then easily stormed the fortress and killed its Guardsmen, before bearing down upon the Freeblade and cutting off its limbs. However they did not kill the Unflinching Steel and instead brought the limbless Knight back to their Homeworld, Morda Prime, where the Freeblade would face House Lucaris' judgement[1]. It is said that the Unflinching Steel's pilot is still undergoing the Chaos Knight House's punishment, ten millennia later.[2]
