War of Slime and Metal
The War of Slime and Metal began in the aftermath of the Great Rift's creation, when the Forge World Metalica was invaded by the forces of Nurgle.[1]
Composed of the Death Guard's 3rd and 7th Plague Companies, Daemons, Chaos Space Marines, the corrupted Titans of Legio Morbus and seven fallen Knight Houses, they nearly succeeded in conquering the Forge World. It was only the arrival of the entire household of House Raven that saved Metalica from falling to the invasion, but only the aid of a war fleet from the Forge Moon Deimos finally defeated Nurgle's forces.[1]
