"I have... made peace with what awaits me. The torment I have earned as my reward for this life."
- Ajennion to Krysithius before his death[1a]

Ajennion was a Battle Brother of the Emperor's Children. He served in the Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, and became part of the same company as Krysithius. Together, they fought in the Siege of Terra and later the Legion Wars, ultimately ending up in the Cohors Nasicae of Lucius the Eternal.[1a]

Ajennion met his fate when the Cohors Nasicae raided a World Eaters ship, the Pit Cur, to replenish their slave stocks in the Eye of Terror. After boarding the vessel as part of Krysithius' squad, a Daemon World suddenly appeared, resulting in the Pit Cur crashing. Ajennion was horribly burned and impaled during the crash, surviving long enough for Krysithius to find him. When Krysithius moved to end his comrade's misery, Ajennion asked him to stop so that he could savor his death. In remembrance of their shared history, Krysithius complied and allowed Ajennion to die slowly.[1a]

Trivia

  • Though it is not outright stated that Ajennion belonged to the Palatine Blades, he wielded a sword in battle and had served in the Space Marine Company of Krysithius,[1a] who had been a famous Palatine Blade.[1b]
