The Arkad System is one of the Galaxy's Systems.[1]
History
When the Imperium found it during the Great Crusade, the Arkad System was home to gene-wrights which had crafted warriors known as the Arkadian Janissaries. They would bitterly fight the Imperial Army's attempt to bring the Arkad into Compliance, until the System fell to the Imperium. Afterwards, the Janissaries were swiftly incorporated into the Solar Auxilia and unleashed upon the Imperium's foes. However during the Horus Heresy, they betrayed the Imperium and joined the Traitor forces that served Warmaster Horus.[1]
