Crowvek
Crowvek is an Astra Militarum Captain in the Serica Twenty-Seventh Regiment.[2]
History
It is among the Imperium's forces that are fighting the Orks on the Death World Maypax. During the battle, though, Crowvek was ordered to lead a number of the Regiment's Guardsmen to save the Catachans' 19'ers Platoon, which had recovered the Fragment of Typhus artefact. Using a Valkyrie, Crowvek's group arrived at the ruins of a temple, where the 19'ers were said to be located. Just as they did so, they spotted the Catachans about to be attacked by a horde of Orks. Acting quickly, the Serica deployed and began attacking the Orks, while Crowvek told the 19'ers' Captain, Obdant, that they were there to save the Platoon and the Fragment. They then aided the 19'ers in killing all of the Xenos, but afterwards, he was confronted by the Adeptus Mechanicus agent Jamona Hilt.[2] He had been sent undercover by the Mechanicus to manipulate the 19'ers to recover the Fragment. Obdant had led Hilt and a small number of the Platoon to do so and once they had recovered the Fragment, he turned on them. However before Hilt could kill them, the 19'ers Ogryn Moom had attacked him, which allowed the Platoon to escape the temple with Hilt and the Fragment.[1] Now with the Serica there, Hilt ordered Crowvek to execute Obdant and the other 19'ers for treachery against the Imperium and for disobeying the orders of a superior officer. Crowvek refused to do so, as that was not among the orders the Serica had been given, but the matter was dealt with when Moom attacked Hilt again. The Serica then left aboard the Valkyrie with an unconsciousness Hilt and the Fragment of Typhus, which they would deliver to the Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars.[2]
