The Cult of the Silvered Gyre is a Genestealer Cult.[1a]

Active on the Imperial world of New Trentis, they were heavily present within the worlds undersea port of Gypatris. The Cult incited a riot that took three days to quash while its Neophyte Hybrids fought their way to the Cogitator subcore. When order was finally restored, port city officials later discovered that a single logic shrine had been stolen while the rest had been destroyed in a power surge.[1a]

Later, they infiltrated New Trentis' private club for the wealthy elite, and even the Cults Magus, Troichim Konstan, was able to join. Becoming a charismatic and powerful patron, Konstan was able to use the clubs to spread the Cults influence and gain dominance over its deep-ocean ore trade.[1a]

After a year of costly tragedies and disappearances across New Trentis which included the destruction of Lanakre, a rival to Gypatris, via generator meltdown, it is decided by Konstan (who has since risen to planetary steward) to deploy half the defense militias into orbit to defend against the enemy supposedly responsible.[1b]

Later, Purestrain Genestealers endure toxins and crushing pressure of the Phulto Trench to tear their way into Vaernol, unlocking a previously sealed underground transit passage and flooding the city. With the Cult now in open uprising, Imperial Knights and [[Astra Militarum soon arrive. In the subsequent battles thousands of Hybrids die, but the Cult is able to use their sacrifices to lure the Imperial commanders into overreaching while Clamavus issue false orders that see tanks fall into cult ambushes. Reductus Saboteurs are able to seal the Knights inside the Mineral transit network before burying them with explosive charges. The Cult's Primus takes the macro-conveyors, trapping the Imperial force at thes eabed with the rest of the Silvered Gyre.[1b]
