Da Maw is a world of the Ork Empire of Octarius, which has become a massive war zone during the Octarius War. The Orks gave the world its name, due to the sheer number of armies consumed by the war there. Numerous hordes of Orks and Tyranids war across its surface and the death tally is beyond count. The years of fighting have also turned Da Maw's oceans a dark crimson and its land masses and forests have been reduced to little more than mud lakes. When World Eaters Daemon Prince Vodha Bloodprice and his vast army of followers saw the world, they considered it a paradise. To them, Da Maw was a blessing from Khorne himself and a fulfillment of Bloodprice's promise to them. He had finally found a battle greater than any they had ever experienced. Here, the blood always flowed. The Daemon Prince has now led an invasion of Da Maw, while its fleet war in its orbit. He has no grand battle plan, but his followers neither needed or expected one. To them there is only one course of action and objective before them - slaughter.[1]
