Hermetica is a Hive World of the Imperium. It serves as the capital of the Chonma Sector.
In 659.M41, the world was assaulted by millions of Mutants and Word Bearers under the Dark Apostle Leyak the Devourer. However, thanks to the Minotaurs and Imperial Guard forces from nearby Necromunda, the heretic forces were defeated but only at the cost of great devastation to the planet. In addition to the damage from Chaos forces, the Minotaurs also showed little restraint and devastated much of the planet and its civilian population to destroy the heretics, particularly through orbital bombardment. The Space Hulk Nightmare of Paradox, which the traitors originally arrived to Hermetica in, still orbits the planet in a quarantined zone awaiting examination by the Grey Knights for suspected daemonic infestation.[1]
Notable locations on the planet include a Basilica devoted to Saint Lehsor.[1]
