Necron Decurion

Necron Decurions are flexible Necron military formations, which are the principle ones used by the species and they been proven in unnumbered battles since the War in Heaven.[1]
Description
Created by the Necrontyr, the Decurions' principles were recorded in ancient war-hieroscripts and are now preserved in databanks guarded by the Crypteks. Each Dynasty has their own version of the Decurions, but they are all now a mix of tactical expediency with tradition, stemming from status and perceived positions of honor within the Dynasties. Those of the Sautekh Dynasty might be led by Nemesor Zahndrekh, or even Phaeron Imotekh, and will traditionally feature a versatile mix of units, while the Bone Kingdom of Drazak will have at least one unit of Flayed Ones. The leaderless Mephrit Dynasty meanwhile will use their Decurions as a way to attain more power and each will contain numerous Lords and Overlords, who seek to eke out some advantage from their deeds upon the battlefield. Regardless of their nature, however, all Decurions are implacable forces of destruction and even the smallest is a significant strike force. These usually contain a Reclamation Legion and a lesser ancillary unit of five Deathmarks or Flayed Ones. Large Decurions meanwhile, contain several hundred Warriors, Immortals and Lychguard, that are accompanied by formidable war machines and bolstered by the presence of an enslaved C'tan Shard. These mighty Decurions have the power to destroy Astra Militarum Regiments, Space Marine Companies and even entire Ork Waaagh!s.[1]
Known Decurions
- Sautekh Dynasty's Royal Gidrim, which is led by Nemesor Zahndrekh and overseen by Phaeron Imotekh. The Blade of Gidrim acts as its Reclamation Legion.[1]
