Veit Morena
Veit Morena was a Captain of the Armageddon Steel Legion active during the Third War for Armageddon. He had command of the 22nd regiment's 12th company.[1]
Biography
At one point in the war, Morena's squadron was recalled from Anaon to Hive Tartarus. At this time, they had the honour of escorting the legendary Commissar Sebastian Yarrick; Yarrick was also due to return to Tartarus, but a pitched battle between Ork and Imperial aircraft had erupted nearby, preventing him from travelling back via air. Instead Yarrick joined Morena aboard his Leman Russ Vanquisher, the Storm of the Wastes.[1]
While en route, the 22nd spotted a column of Gargants heading for Tartarus. In order to avoid them, Morena directed the 22nd eastwards off the main route so they could use a hilly region to provide cover. While Morena had Berne vox a report to Tartarus to warn them, however, they were attacked by Ork bombers. The squadron was wiped out, and Storm of the Wastes was blasted upside down with Yarrick as the only survivor.[1]
