The War in Gheldrith's Eye was a battle waged by the Grey Knights.[1]
Overview
Within the warp storm known as Gheldrith’s Eye, the Grey Knights uncovered a hidden ritual via the Augurium. The 1st and 2nd Brotherhood discovered an armada of Word Bearers vessels inside the warp, positioned in an octagonal formation. Within, a coven of Sorcerers and Dark Apostles were enacting a ritual to weaken the warp routes in the region and allow passengers in them to be assailed by Daemons. Though their own Geller fields were similarly weakened, the combined Aegis of the Grey Knights kept the Daemons at bay. The Strike Cruiser Ceristor led its sister ships in a precision attack that smashed through the gun decks of the Word Bearers' flanking Cruisers.[1]
As this was happening, the Grey Knights made a coordinated teleport strikes against the bridge controls and engine rooms, their teleportation technology boosted by the psychic powers of the warriors. The Chaos ships struggled to maintain their positioning for the ritual and the ceremony was halted. The Grey Knights disengaged as the ritual came apart and the warp came rushing in, tearing apart the Word Bearers fleet.[1]
