The Baal System is a star system of the Imperium, located in the Red Scar region of the Ultima Segmentum.[1a]
History
In 798.M41, the Baal System was invaded by the Orks of Waaagh! Big Skorcha. Materialising into the the system via three huge Space Hulks, the Blood Angels boarded and destroyed two but were unable to stop the third before it made it to Baal itself, with thousands of the xenos being unleashed on the planet and its moons. Ultimately the Blood Angels were victorious against the invaders.[3a]
Following the opening of the Great Rift, the system is one of the many stranded in the region known as Imperium Nihilus.[1c]
