During the latter days of the Great Crusade, Diyos was assigned to the Emperor's Children ship Phoenician. Its destruction by the Diasporex at the Battle of the Carollis Star led to her being grievously injured,[1d] resulting in both her legs being amputated, her left arm being covered in scar tissue and her right arm being replaced by an augmetic manipulator.[1b]
Aniq Sarashina tasked her with helping Kai Zulane recover from his trauma aboard the Argo, which she did as a seeker — a psyker proficient in reconstituting an individual's psychic abilities.[1b] This work led to her being the only astropath on Terra to receive a vision about the Drop Site Massacre[1c], and to being recruited into the force that tracked down the Outcast Dead, which she performed dutifully despite her reluctance to betray Zulane's trust.[1e]
