Outcast Dead

The Outcast Dead were a group of Renegade Space Marines during the Horus Heresy.[1]
History
Originally members of the Honour Guard known as the Crusader Host (which was derived from all 18 Legions and based on Terra), following the beginning of the Heresy and news of the betrayal of the Sons of Horus, World Eaters, Death Guard, and Emperor's Children, the Custodian Guard imprisoned members of this honour guard under the Himalazia Mountains due to their suspect loyalty to the Emperor. The group managed to eventually escape from this prison, known as "The Vault", rescuing the Astropath known as Kai Zulane along the way. The group learned of important information held within the Astropath's mind, that of the fate of the war itself, and became determined to fight their way off Terra and make it to Warmaster Horus. However, one by one all members besides Severian were killed by the Custodian Guard, Sisters of Silence, surviving Thunder Warriors, and finally the Primarch Rogal Dorn himself.[1]
