Grenades are hand-held devices thrown at the enemy and designed to in some way damage or disrupt an enemy formation or a single vehicle. A grenade is designed either to be fired from some form of grenade launcher, sling, or to be thrown or placed by hand.[1]
Several grenade types are exotic and are too expensive and dangerous to be standard issue.

Types
Many types of grenades have been developed to cause various effects. In first and second edition, there were many types of grenade, available to most races and armies, and came in both grenade and missile form. In game terms, from 3rd edition onwards, only a few types are used by each type of army. The vortex grenade was recently brought back for Apocalypse-scale battles. Grenades of Orkish design are known as stikkbombs.
