Macragge is the homeworld of the Ultramarines Chapter of the Space Marines, and the capital world of the stellar realm of Ultramar. A bleak and mountainous planet, most of the citizens of Macragge live in the lowland regions. However the fortress-monastery of the Ultramarines, the Fortress of Hera is located within the barren mountains. Within the mighty walls of the fortress lies the shrine of Roboute Guilliman where he sits upon a throne of marble contained within a stasis field.3 Macragge has fearsome defences, including two polar defence fortresses, that have been upgraded since the Battle of Macragge.
