Infidus Brim is a vassal world of the Moebian Domain located within the Moebian Fringe Regions.[2d][2e]
Infidus Brim is an unstable world with many wars against heretics wrestling for control of the Fringe world.[1a][1b]
Other worlds within the Moebian Fringe Regions include Komaris, the former Imperial bastion of the Fringe Regions, and Messelina Gloriana, a planet nearby Komaris.[3] Messelina Gloriana has been used as a rally point for at least one of the horrific wars fought on Infidus Brim. Veterans of Infidus Brim are often the survivors of unimaginable horrors, who rarely return to active duty unchanged.[1b]
History
Infidus Brim was reclaimed by the Imperium during the Great Crusade and brought back undo the stewardship of Atoma Prime. The Great Crusade's expeditionary fleet would subsequently leave the Moebian Domain after exterminating the majority of the threats within the Fringe Regions.[2c]
The world of Infidus Brim would be lost again at some point and reclaimed as a vassal world of the Moebian Domain in the latter part of M35.[2d]
After the recent fall of Komaris, Imperial bastion of the Moebian Fringe Region, at least 13 wars for control of Infidus Brim occurred. The Wardenchain rallied zealous militias to slaughter heretics during in these horrific Infidus Brim wars. These militias, lead by the elite Wardens, rallied to aid Imperial forces in dispensing the Emperor's wrath. Survivors of these militia were few, if there were any, but the zealots would fight to the last, taking down twice as many heretics in turn. Those Astra Militarum veterans that survived these wars were awarded prized weapons and armour, but these were dubious honours. Those few survivors that returned were left mentally broken and hollow by the unimaginable horrors they had witnessed on Infidus Brim.[1a][1b][1c]
Known Conflicts
- 5th War for Infidus Brim - In the Storm of Faith assault during the 5th War of the Infidus Brim, the elite Wardenchain proved integral in the storming of the enemy strongholds. The casualties of the Wardenchain amounted to 100%.[1c]
- 13th War for Infidus Brim - A holy militia known as the Purgators of Wrath gathered 8000 followers who rallied on the world of Messelina Gloriana before travelling to Infidus Brim. The Purgators of Wrath fought and died to the last. They served as faithful executioners who put twice their number of traitors to the sword. From the barely two-score surviving executioners who returned to Messelina's great temple, they formed a shadowy Sanguinary Cult that still operates in the Moebian Fringe to this day.[1a]
