Hesperus is a world of the Imperium[1], located in the Helican Subsector.[3a]
History
At some point prior to 241.M41 Hesperus suffered from the predations of a cult. The cultists were known to remove their dead victims' eyes, due to their belief that the eyes were the windows of the soul.[1]
In 241.M41, Hesperus was host to an Imperial secessionist movement that came under investigation by the Inquisition.[1]
In approximately 321.M41[Note 1] the fallen Inquisitor Lilean Chase founded a Cognitae academy on Hesperus. Years later, the academy was purged in an Inquisitorial raid led by Lord Inquisitor Rorken. However, by this point the academy had produced three generations of genius sociopaths and their descendants would plague the sector for decades to come.[3c]
Notable people
- Massimo Ricci — An Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos. Following his death on Farness Beta a library on Hesperus was named after him.[2]
