Raid on Adraith

The Raid on Adraith was a Dark Eldar raid on the Chaos-held world of Adraith, near the outer reaches of the Eye of Terror, by the Kabal of Archon Tchaeul.[1]
Overview
During the raid, the Kabal struck a Great Temple dedicated to Slaanesh, slaughtered thousands of its worshipers and dragged many of them to their vehicles to be later used for the Archon's amusement. Afterwards the Archon himself entered the Temple and cut down a Daemon that was guarding several ancient treasures, which he took.[1]
With the Temple ransacked and their holds filled with captives, Tchaeul ordered the Kabal to return to the ancient Warp Gate that had brought them to Adraith. Just as it seemed the Kabal had bested the servants of the Dark Prince, a large force of Slaaneshi Daemons, Daemon Engines and Chaos Space Marines appeared, and barred their way to the Warp Gate as they neared it.[1]
Eager to avenge the defilement of their Temple, the Slaaneshi force charged the Kabal, driven by their lust for battle and desire to inflict pain. As Tchaeul made ready to deal with the force ahead of him, a second, larger Chaos force emerged behind the Kabal and rapidly advanced upon them. Trapped between the two forces, Tchaeul saw he had no choice but to escape through the Webway, and gave the order to charge the Slaaneshi force blocking their way to the Warp Gate. In the desperate battle that followed, few of the Archon's Kabal were able to match his feat in reaching the Warp Gate, indeed it was only through a suicidal attack by a number of his forces that Tchaeul was able to reach the relative safely of Commorragh. Though as the Archon later said of those who died, "That is what they were for."[1]
Despite the loss of a majority of his Kabal, the treasures Tchaeul recovered made the cost more than worth it; it was discovered they were potent psychic devices, made in the last years of the Eldar's Fall. Once word spread of what he possessed, Tchaeul's standing in Commorragh rose sharply and he easily replaced the losses his Kabal suffered.[1]
