The Royal Volpone 1st was a Royal Volpone regiment of the Astra Militarum known to have fought in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.^[1]

History

The Volpone 1st were part of a Sabbat Crusade battlegroup that was mustering for the assault on the Cabal System following the successful prosecution of the Monthax campaign. However, Warmaster Macaroth diverted a number of the group's regiments, including the Royal Volpone 1st, 2nd and 4th, to the planet Verghast to help the settlement of Vervunhive defend itself from an attack by the fallen hive Ferrozoica. The regiments were under the overall command of General Noches Sturm of the Royal Volpone.^[1]
