Tintaroth is a Knight World in the Calaphrax Cluster, cut off from the Imperium since the days of the Horus Heresy.[1b]
Tintaroth' orbits twin stars whose scouring glare protected it from the warp-storms that ravaged the Calaphrax Cluster for ten millennia in the aftermath of the Battle of Exyrion.[1a] When Interrogator-Chaplain Altheous arrived in M41 to determine whether Tintaroth was loyal, he was told he was not welcome because he and his brethren had blighted the universe. When he said he came from beyond the storm with news of the Emperor, he was granted an audience.[1b] The Knights of Tintaroth did not recognise the dominion of the Emperor, but agreed to aid the Dark Angels against their mutual enemy, the Iron Warriors.[1c]
