Tsolmon Khan

Tsolmon Khan was a member of the White Scars Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]
Biography
A Terran member of the Scars who joined before the discovery of their Primarch, he later became the Khan of the Brotherhood of the Golden Star. Despite towering over his new Chogorian brothers, Tsolmon was one of the most devoted adherents to Jaghatai Khan's reforms within their Legion and his quiet courage, resolute loyalty and sheer strength became an asset to the White Scars. In time, he became one of the more respected Khans serving as part of the horde of Asudai Noyan-Khan and Tsolmon engendered fierce loyalty from the warriors who served him.[1a]
During the final battle in the Chondax System against the Alpha Legion, Tsolmon Khan and the Sisters of Silence launched a noble last stand against overwhelming odds on Byfrust. Their final charge broke the Alpha Legion on the ground, but the survivors were then devastated by an orbiting enemy Cruiser. However, Tsolmon Khan was able to evacuate some of his men and the Sisters aboard the vessel Hawkstar.[1a]
He would survive the Alpha Legion's betrayal and earned the respect of the Sisters of Silence, when he returned a number of relics used by the Knight-Centura Calistis Merovin, who had fought and died beside him, on Byfrust. He also gave testimony of their Sister's bravery in battle and the honours Jaghatai Khan had bestowed upon her. In return for the honours done to Merovin, and in furtherance of the bond forged by the Khan of the Golden Star, the matriarchs of the Order decided to honour Tsolmon in return. It was decided that the Khan would be given an honour guard of Sisters that would stand beside him in battle - an honour granted to very few within the history of the Imperium. It was one that the humble Tsolmon treated with the utmost respect.[1b]
He survived the White Scars' journey to Terra and later defended it from Warmaster Horus' forces. During the Siege of Terra's later years, Tsolmon and the White Scars attempted to reclaim the Lion's Gate Space Port from the Death Guard. By then, he was among their senior leadership who had distinguished themselves and had reputations that resonated across the Legion.[2]
