Indomitus Crusade Fleet Quintus
Indomitus Crusade Fleet Quintus was one of the Battlefleets assembled for the Imperium's Indomitus Crusade and was led by Fleetmaster Prasorius.[1]
History
Fleet Quintus is considered to be cursed, due to the misfortunes Fleet Quintus constantly suffered throughout the Indomitus Crusade. Even before it departed the Sol System, Fleet Quintus was beset by setbacks. This included outbreaks of disease as well as the suspected sabotage of the Embrace of Fire which caused a Warp Drive malfunction devastating scores of nearby vessels while in anchorage over Uranus[3b]. The Fleet seemed to act as a magnet for strange occurrences, dreadful chance and having apparently simple campaigns transformed into gruelling meat-grinders. As the Crusade wore on, it became harder and harder to dispel the gathering superstitions both about and within Fleet Quintus. Even capital punishments could not stay the claims that Fleet Quintus laboured under some strange curse.[1]
After several delays, the Fleet finally got underway as other Fleets had already earned much glory for themselves. Fleet Quintus was beaten to their own initial objective, Lessira, by Fleet Tertius.[4] The Fleet is since known to have taken part in the Battle for the Orestes System.[2]
