Mrytun Dammergot
Myrtun Dammergot is a Leagues of Votann Kin of the Trans-Hyperian Alliance's Kindred of the Eternal Starforge. She served as Hernkyn Prospect Hernkâhl[2g] and commander of the ship, Grand Endeavour[2a], before being promoted to the Kindred's High Kâhl.[2b]
She is known to be especially old for a Kin, enough that she is considered by the Kindred's Lord Grimnyr to be a Living Ancestor.[2e] Her exact age is unknown, though she is noted as having spent over one hundred "orbits" away from her Kindred's Hold Ship.[2a]
Myrtun enjoys assembling small dancing automata, using her time working on the constructs to think.[2c]
History
Though the Leagues of Votann are in a new age of conflict with the Imperium, Dammergot has flourished by exploiting their battles for her own personal gain.[1]

Myrtun's first mission as a Hernkyn resulted in a massacre at the hands of the Orks, of which she was one of the only survivors, leading her to carry a large amount of guilt. Her Grimnyr, Jôrdiki, considers her to have become a "doom-seeker" as a result.[2e]
Myrtun led her prospect on a mission to attack, disable, and harvest a Tyranid Bioship; which went mostly to plan, until the arrival of fellow Hernkâhl Fyrtor and his ship the Canny Wanderer.[2a] Refusing to stop her operation to speak with him, Fyrtor joins her aboard the Tyranid organism, where they defeat a Node Lord, with the help of a targeted laser blast directed by her most trusted companion, the Ironkin Wayfinder Lutar; and Fyrtor is finally able to inform her that she has been promoted to High Kâhl on recommendation from the three Trans-Hyperian Votann and the Votannic Council.[2b]
Seeking to delay the responsibility, Myrtun avoids returning to the Kindred of the Eternal Starforge's Hold Ship, the Unbreakable Giant, by performing mercenary work for some local Imperials, leaving the actual harvesting of the Bioship to the local Urani-Surtr Regulates kindred.[2c]
Finally arriving at the Eternal Starforge Hold Ship, Myrtun takes a motorcade from the hangar to attend her first Hearthspake meeting as High Kâhl, before hearing petitions from the general populace. The first petitioner, a Brôkhyr Iron-Master named Lekki of the Enduring Guild of Master Runewrights, is interrupted by the Einhyr Champion Dori "Ironhelm" Hûltvan, who relays the oath sworn by Myrtun's predecessor, the deceased High Kâhl Orthônar, who was slain by Orks after rediscovering a Lost Hold.[2d]
Despite some opposition within the Hearthspake, Myrtun ultimately decides to follow after Orthônar and complete his oath.[2e] She sets off for the Oathstar system, only accessible through the Warp Storm known as the Well of Yrdu, accompanied by Lutar, Fyrtor, Dori, Jôrdiki, Chief Voidmaster Kyr Starbound, and the warships Grand Endeavour, Canny Wanderer, Hammer of Nithroggir, and THA-C342. The last vessel is lost in the Warp, while the other ships, especially Canny Wanderer, take damage engaging Chaos forces, but the fleet eventually arrive at their destination.[2f]
Receiving a message that the Unbreakable Giant has come under attack in their absence, Myrtun calls her council to Weigh the Decision of whether they should continue their mission, or return home. After a lengthy debate, they decide to press on and fulfill Orthônar's oath.[2g]
Battling the Orks which have occupied the lost Hold in the Kin's absence, Lutar is severely damaged battling the Warboss, prompting Myrtun to attack it in a rage, destroying the ork's leg with her Volkanite Disintegrator and enabling Dori to finish the alien off. The Kin are able to fully reactivate the Hold's Fane, which they use to locate a map to the lost Kindred's ancient Votann, believed to be one of the original cores dating back to the oldest history of the Leagues. Once Lutar is repaired, Myrtun informs him that she will be leading the entire Kindred as High Kâhl in search of the Votann.[2h]
