Supplicium Secundus is a world of the Imperium.[1]

The second planet of the Supplicium System, Supplicium Secundus is a compact, arid world with only a few habitable zones on its equator, each of which sported a Hive city.[1]

History

At one point, a shadow of the Battle Barge Eclipse of Hope passed through the Supplicium System. This was no mere Warp phenomenon, however, as the shadow was tainted by Chaos and its very presence spread a rage-plague across Supplicium Secundus as it passed by. The entire civilian populace was infected, with its victims compelled to slaughter each other to the last man.[1]

As the world's civilisation crumbled, its inhabitants sent a plea for aid. A regiment of the Mordian Iron Guard in the local stellar vicinity responded, believing that the planet was suffering from a heretic uprising, but were also infected. Eventually a strike force of the Blood Angels Chapter's Fourth Company led by Chief Librarian Mephiston arrived to investigate the fate of the Mordians (who had sent their own distress call before succumbing to the plague and killing each other), but they only found one person - the last survivor of the planet, who attempted to attack the landing party. The Blood Angels mercy-killed this man, unable to do anything further for Supplicium Secundus, but went on to banish the Chaos that infested the shadow of the Eclipse of Hope, saving Supplicium Tertius and possibly many other Imperial planets from suffering the same fate.[1]
