Alipsia Secundus is an Imperial Ice World, that is located in the Eastern Fringe's Omei Subsector.[1]
History
It contains a Missionary outpost, whose Astropaths once all committed suicide by cutting their throats. Before death claimed them, the Astropaths wrote the name Sirene Primal in their blood and silently mouthed it until they died. This was connected to the world Sirene Primal, which had begun casting psychic emanations, as a rebellion raged there. The Ordo Hereticus had first learned of the emanations from the Imperial Navy fleet above the world, but had dismissed them as being caused by the Imperium's war to reclaim Sirene. It was the report of the Astropaths' deaths on Alipsia Secundus, though, that finally led them to send Inquisitor Obodiah Roth in 866.M41, to discover what was causing the emanations. This led Roth to discover that a Genestealer Cult was behind not only the psychic emanations, but also the rebellion on Sirene Primal. Worse still, the Cult had successfully drawn a massive Hive Fleet to the world.[1]
