Bree Jagdea

Bree Jagdea[1b] was a Commander of the Phantine Fighter Corps active during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1a][2]
Biography
Jagdea was a graduate of the Combat School at Hessenville, and was regarded as one of the finest pilots in the entire corps.[1b]
Phantine campaign
She was one of the senior Phantine officers involved in the liberation of Phantine itself, after the planet had been subjugated by a force of the Blood Pact under Sagittar Slaith. Her wings (including her own personal wing, Umbra Flight[1b]) were attached to an Astra Militarum taskforce led by Lord General Van Voytz; they were responsible for defending the drogues used to transport the taskforce across Phantine's cloud oceans and supporting the Crusade's efforts to retake Phantine's vapour mills.[1a]
In the assault on Cirenholm, Jagdea's Lightning was shot down by the city's defences. She ejected from her plane and landed on the outer hull of Cirenholm, but her blimp-chute only barely deployed in time to prevent her impact from being fatal. Thus, although she had survived, she still sustained a broken arm and multiple broken ribs. Despite this, she was still able to save a Militarum drop-ship that had veered off course on its approach to its designated drop zone by firing her flare pistol to show its pilot a safe landing area.[1b] The Tanith Guardsmen onboard the ship, in turn, rescued Jagdea from the outside of the dome she was on, preventing her from freezing to death.[1b][1c]
After the Imperial victory at Cirenholm, Jagdea's injuries were set. She wasn't cleared to pilot a Lightning until her bones were fully mended, but she still wanted to contribute to the war effort. As a result, she volunteered to pilot one of the Marauders assigned to Operation Larisel (a stealth insertion/assassination mission that supported the main Imperial thrust on Ouranberg). She was assigned to Larisel 1, transporting the Tanith Sergeant Varl, Trooper Vadim, Trooper Banda and Scout-Trooper Bonin and the Skyborne Corporal Unterrio.[1d]
During the insertion, Larisel 1's engines failed as it was two minutes away from its drop zone over Ouranberg. The Guardsmen on board started bailing out and Jagdea's co-pilot was killed by flak shot, but the pilot herself stayed at the controls for as long as possible before bailing out with Bonin.[1d]
Later Actions
She survived the conflict and she and a reconstituted Umbra Flight went on to fight in the Liberation of Enothis.[2]
Jagdea later took part in the war for the Hive World Lysander. By that time, she was considered a former ace fighter pilot and she instead flew supply runs for the Imperial forces defending the dead Hive of Vesperus. However, their Chaos foes turned it into a war of attrition and this led Jagdea to be later enlisted into the infamous Circus 66 fighter squadron.[3]
