History
Discovered by Explorator Fleets from mars during the Great Crusade and bloodlessly assimilated into the Imperium, they proved eager students in the way of the Cult Mechanicus. They grew close to the Fabricator-General and Legio Mortis who they served frequently alongside. They often acted as enforcers of Kelbor-Hal's will with a particular focus on the retrieval and protection of lost knowledge. On occasion they even acted as Kelbor-Hal's personal bodyguards. Thus it is of little surprise they aligned with the forces of Horus during the Horus Heresy, their first act to be to adorn their fortress on Daxos Gemini with the corpses of loyal nobles. After this purge they took to the stars in service to the warmaster and took part in the Battle of Beta-Garmon[1] and the Cataclysm of Iron.[3]
Since the Horus Heresy they have welcomed the corrupting influence of the Dark Mechanicum and wage campaigns to uncover lost Dark Age of Technology machinery for their new masters.[2]
