Imperial Navy Wings are groupings of Imperial Aircraft under the control of the Imperial Navy. They typically consist of between ten to twenty aircraft, though in truth their size can vary considerably. There are many thousands of Navy wings stationed throughout the galaxy, and many take on nicknames, usually a type of flying creature or monster.^[1a]
