Strike Force Ishmayn
Strike Force Ishmayn is a strike force of the Novamarines Chapter, that is led by Captain Ishmayn. It serves in Indomitus Crusade Fleet Secundus.[1]
History
During the Nachmund Rift War, the Strike Force was among the Secundus' forces that defended the Sanctus Wall world Catagyl from a Chaos invasion. As the battle raged there, several Geskan Astra Militarum Regiments defending the Mountain-plex Ajax were destroyed by a horde of Chaos Cultists and a few Alpha Legion Chaos Space Marines that were aiding them. In order to ensure Ajax did not fall, Strike Force Ishmayn was charged with protecting the Mountain-plex's entrance, until the Imperial Knights of House Gryphonne reached their position. Once they arrived, the two sides would then work together to destroy the Chaos forces. However before this could occur, Squad Staebor was killed by a powerful psychic attack, launched by the Black Legion Sorcerer known as the Fiend.[1]
The Sorcerer then froze them in place and began tearing Strike Force Ishmayn apart. The Novamarines were unable to free themselves and would have been killed, had thirty members of the Sisters of Silence not suddenly appeared before them. The Sisters' target was the Fiend himself and their Blank abilities freed the Strike Force and allowed them to easily kill the Sorcerer. Though he was left heavily wounded by the Fiend's attack, Captain Ishmayn rallied his surviving Novamarines to go to the aid of their saviors. While only half of Strike Force Ishmayn's members remained alive, the Captain was sure they would hold for the four minutes it would take for House Gryphonne's Knights to reach their location. Once they did, the Imperials would unite to destroy the Chaos forces.[1]

- Squad Staebor - Eight Intercessors. Brave and accomplished, they had centuries of combat experience and dozens of martial glories between them. All met their ends at the hands of the Fiend.[1]
