Sephlagm is a Dead World that was once part of the Imperium.[3]
History
Sephlagm was an irradiated Hive World, whose atmosphere could quickly kill anyone not traveling in vehicles on its surface. This proved deadly for a force of the Armageddon Steel Legion sent to put down a Chaos Cult rebellion on Sephlagm in M41. As they travelled to a Cultist hotspot, they were suddenly attacked by the Dark Angels, who were searching for a Fallen Angel whom they believed was hidden amongst the Steel Legion force. The Dark Angels repeatedly cracked open the Steel Legion's vehicles exposing their crews to Sephlagm's deadly atmosphere, until Commissar Baltan gave the order to fight back. In a brief skirmish the Dark Angels easily defeated the outmatched Steel Legion and would have destroyed them, when a Deathstrike missile was suddenly launched at the battlefield. The Dark Angels still living were teleported away, right before the missile hit and destroyed what remained of the Steel Legion force.[1]
The Ravenwing also hunted Sephlagm's possessed Planetary Governor and during a fierce battle in the gubernatorial palace, they summoned the Deathwing to strike the killing blow against the Governor.[2] He would die at the hands of the Deathwing's Grand Master Azrael and afterwards the Dark Angels evacuated from Sephlagm, before the blighted world was destroyed in an Exterminatus.[3]
