Description
After a thousand years, violent warp storms have receded from the Calaphrax Cluster, and an ancient battlefront in the war against Chaos has again been opened to the universe.[1]
Now, multiple forces risk complete immolation to attack the sector – drawn by the lure of ancient relics, lost knowledge, and powerful megaweapons, buried for aeons. Chief among those forces, the fearsome Dark Angels, emerald-armored Space Marines, shock-troopers of the Emperor's Imperium and indomitable defenders of humanity. But Chaos stirs in the warp, and the Dark Angels will not be alone for long![1]
Issue #2
Three superhuman warriors, humanity's last defence against the horror that stalks the warp... Three perspectives on the eternal battle against Chaos – in an all-new front of the war! Baltus, climbing the ranks of the Dark Angels and discovering shocking revelations at every turn. Interrogator Chaplain Altheous, preserving his chapter's secrets at all costs. And Inquisitor Sabbathiel and her warband, holding the Dark Angels to account, as heresy gnaws from within![2]
Issue #3
The Calaphrax Cluster: cut off from the universe by a warp storm for ten thousand years, now suddenly accessible again. Sent by Lord Azrael to cleanse the region, Baltus and his fellow Dark Angels Space Marines made planetfall on Exyrion, where they tracked a mysterious signal to a cavernous hive - one infested by twisted warpspawn! On a diplomatic mission to Tintaroth, Altheous is trying to persuade its isolationist nobles to enter the war. Watching from orbit, the Iron Warriors, Space Marines consumed by Chaos, sent an asteroid slamming into Exyrion, cracking the underhive open! As the ground battle commences and the Iron Warriors chase down their prize, Baltus and his squad head deeper into the dark of Exyrion. And above them, Inquisitor Sabbathiel has discovered the remains of an ancient squad of Dark Angels.[3a]
Issue #4
Now, forces of the Dark Angels and the Knights of Tintaroth clash with a speartip of Iron Warriors on the surface of Exyrion, as the Chaos Space Marines push ever-closer to the ancient, buried weapon. Baltus's squad has already suffered heavy casualties. With only four Marine left to hold off the Iron Warriors pursuing them into the caverns, can the Dark Angels keep the weapon out of the hands of their enemies?[3b]
