Daemenor is a Cardinal World that fell to Heresy after the Great Rift was created.[1]
History
Sometime afterwards an Order of the Argent Shroud Crusade Force, led by Canoness Eleanor Blanche, invaded the world and did battle with the Heretical population. However the Crusade Force were so heavily outnumbered, that they would have been destroyed had Saint Celestine not appeared. She descended from Daemenor's skies with a large number of Argent Shroud Seraphims and Zephyrims. At the same time, a wave of Repentia crashed into the Heretics' rear lines. With the might of the Argent Shroud's Adepta Sororitas the Heretics attacking the Crusade Force were killed. Afterwards, it was revealed that their rescue was due to an Emperor-given vision, that the Zephyrim Sister Superior Angelica had received. Through it she learned of the danger Blanche's Crusade Force was in and Angelica was able to lead Saint Celestine and the others to aid them. Celestine, Angelica and the Sororitas they brought with them, would then join Blanche's efforts to cleanse Daemenor of its Heresy.[1]
They successfully scoured Daemenor of the Heretics and afterwards, it began to be seen as a lighthouse in the darkness. To capitalize on this success, the Imperium launched the Daemenor Crusade to reclaim the area of space around the Cardinal World. Daemenor itself would serve as a staging post for the Crusade on going war efforts.[2]
Notes
Daemenor was created by Drew Palies, one of Games Workshop's 'Eavy Metal painters, for the White Dwarf magazine's 11th iteration, of A Tale of Four Warlords.[1]
