Harik Morn[1]

Ancient[1] Harik Morn[2] was a Contemptor Dreadnought in the Iron Hands Legion, who took part in the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]

History

Prior to being entombed within a Dreadnought, Morn was a Terran-born Sergeant in the Avernii Clan's First Order and had a dry sense of humour. During the Great Crusade, he took part in destroying Ork Kill Kroozers under his Primarch Ferrus Manus' command in the Fist of Iron. However, in one such operation near a Warp anomaly, an Iron Hands Strike Cruiser unexpectedly appeared among the wreckage. Morn was handpicked by Ferrus Manus to join him in the boarding party along with Sergeant Gabriel Santar and Mechanicum representative Xanthus.[2]

The group discovered clues that the derelict ship came from some point in the future. Unidentified xenoforms began attacking the boarding party, forcing Ferrus to issue a fighting withdrawal. Even while defending himself Morn disagreed with leaving a Legion ship at the hands of the xenos, but his Primarch remained firm.[2]

Morn was one of Clan Avernii's most respected warriors and once served in the Avernii's Terminator Centuries of Ferrus' Honour Guard. As part of the Honour Guard, Morn fought beside Manus throughout countless battles, until he was mortally wounded at the height of the Battle of Gardinaal Prime when his body was crushed by one of the gargantuan walkers fielded by the Lords of Gardinaal. After being interred within a Contemptor Dreadnought, however, Morn continued his service to Manus and would fight beside his Primarch during the Horus Heresy's Dropsite Massacre. On that terrible day, Morn's service to his Primarch came to an end, when he was destroyed defending Manus' decapitated body on the blood-soaked ground of Isstvan V.[1]
