The Ogdobekh Dynasty is a Necron Dynasty.[2]

Overview

Ogdobekh Dynasty territory[2]

The Ogdobekh Dynasty is famed for its technical mastery. This traces its origins to many millennia ago, when the dynasty came to an accord with Crypteks who advised their ruling nobles. The two factions exist in a symbiotic relationship, the vast resources of the Ogdobekh coreworlds are given to the Crypteks for production of weaponry.[3] The Ogdobekh Dynasty is also known to field large numbers of Obelisks and Tesseract Vaults.[4]

As a result of this advantage, its Tomb Worlds were more prepared with better backup systems for the Great Sleep after the Necron race rebelled against the C'tan, with a triple-layered backup system protecting its warriors. Because of this, the dynasty's relative power is greater than it once was, for its warriors have emerged more reliably from hibernation than most.[1a]

As part of the bargain struck between the royal household and the dynasty's cryptek orders, no cryptek in service to the Ogdobekh Dynasty may ever attempt to engage with Canoptek constructs (including canopteks belonging to other dynasties). It is believed this part of the accord was enacted due to the paranoia of the dynasty's Phaeron, matriarch Anathrosis. Only members of the royal household have the privilege to engage with the constructs, though it is implied by Crown Prince Zultanekh that they do not maintain this knowledge. The crown prince believes that there has been no negative impact to the function of the dynasty's constructs due to this ban.[5]

In early M42, the Sautekh Dynasty managed to reach Ogdobekh territory via Dolmen Gates. The attack threw the Ogdobekh into overdrive, and they launched simultaneous thrusts at both Mars and Urdesh simultaneously. It proved a costly mistake, as Martian Skitarii armies alongside House Taranis and House Krast crushed them in a counteroffensive, though it drained the Forge Worlds of reinforcing other planets for a time.[8]
