Certus Minor is an Imperium Cemetery World that is dedicated to the deceased Ecclesiarch Umberto II and is overseen by the Ecclesiarchy.[1]

History
In M41 Certus Minor was invaded by the Cholercaust Blood Crusade and though the Excoriators Chapter's Fifth Company came to its defense, they were all killed - save for their Corpus-Captain, Zachariah Kersh. However, just as it seemed the Cemetery World's fate was sealed, the mysterious Legion of the Damned intervened and effortlessly destroyed the Cholercaust. Though it was saved, Certus Minor was left devastated by the Cholercaust's invasion, but sadly it was not the last time it would be invaded by the forces of Chaos.[2]
Years later, the powerful Black Legion Sorcerer Ygethmor invaded the Cemetery World, intent on destroying what he saw as a symbol of Imperial heroism, and began conducting a ritual that would drag Certus Minor into the Warp. Luckily word of the invasion reached Kersh, now the Excoriators' Chapter Master, and he immediately pleaded with the Imperium for aid to save the world his Chapter sacrificed so much for. Now even as the Imperium's forces descend upon Certus Minor, Ygethmor's ritual has already opened up a Warp portal that has begun to drag the Cemetery World to its doom...[2]
