Balthor Sigma Intervention
The Balthor Sigma Intervention was a battle of the Horus Heresy, taking place in 012.M31.[1]
The battle saw a pursuit force of World Eaters engage in a hunter-killer operation against previously defeated loyalists which included a demi-legio of the Legio Osedax. On Balthor Sigma, the World Eaters used Super-Heavy Tanks to hold the Legio Osedax at bay until these vehicles were destroyed by the sudden arrival of Eldar Titans. It was only when traitor-aligned Titans of the Legio Fureans fought their way through to reinforce the traitors' lines that total defeat was averted. At the conclusion of the battle, the xenos Titans vanished.[1]
