Reaving of the Xibana Reaches
The Reaving of the Xibana Reaches was a battle of the Horus Heresy, which saw elements of the Blood Angels and Iron Hands fight the Sons of Horus' forces within the Xibana Reaches Sub-Sector in 011.M31.[1]
History
It began after Blood Angels Companies, formally of the 106th Expeditionary Fleet, and a contingent of the Iron Hands, sought out more Traitors to fight after they completed their disruptive raids against the Word Bearers' enclaves in the galactic west. This led the Loyalists to the Xibana Reaches Sub-Sector, where they unleashed their wrath upon outposts held by the Sons of Horus. They showed no mercy to the Traitor Legion's forces, but what happened to them afterwards is not known. A clue to their fate was found sometime later, though, when the Imperium arrived in the Reaches and discovered the wrecked Solar Auxilia Cruiser Imaculata. According to its fragmentary data-scripts, after they completed their attacks, the surviving Loyalists may have pursued fleeing Traitor forces into a region of space that was beyond the known boundaries of the Imperium.[1]
