House Ulanti is one of the seven Noble Houses of Necromunda's Hive Primus. Its territory includes a palace with a needle-thin tower on the outside of the spire, famously the former home of "Mad" Donna (the daughter of old Sylvanus Ulanti, current House patriarch).[1a][2a]

Overview

House Ulanti is one of the oldest Great Houses on Necromunda, with a history deeply intertwined with House Escher. Despite centuries of separation, the two houses remain closely linked, especially through the production and sale of chems, which generate vast revenues for Ulanti. The profits Ulanti garners from the drug trade eclipse those of the Merchant Guild, Narco Lords, and even House Escher, the producers of these chems.[9a]

Ulanti's influence extends across various industries, leasing its factories and territories to Clan Houses and Merchant Guild families in return for significant portions of their output. The Great House owns several hives, such as Skygelt Tower and Hive Valkyria, and the moon Juggerata, used for hunting xenos beasts.[9a]

This immense wealth has led to extreme decadence within House Ulanti, with its members living in luxurious splendor. Their spire levels are often transformed into fantastical realms, and they consume the rarest foods and drinks in the galaxy. Despite their opulence, House Ulanti maintains its power through individuals of great vision and skill, ensuring the House's survival with its near-limitless wealth.[9a]

Ulanti Contract

The Ulanti Contract is a lucrative agreement where Hive City Houses compete to supply House Ulanti with core requirements, while House Ulanti itself competes with other Noble Houses to purchase their goods. Historically, House Delaque held the contract until House Orlock orchestrated a campaign of sabotage, bribing Underhive gangs to disrupt Delaque operations. This led to House Ulanti transferring the contract to the Orlocks.[5]

Spyre Hunters

Like the sons and daughters of most Noble Houses, young Ulantis are sent in Spyrer teams (or if preferred, individually) to the Underhive to prove themselves tough and resourceful enough to take their place among the ruling families. The Ulantis have an exclusive Hunting Club, which one solo Orrus hoped to be allowed to join after completing his vow of ten kills (ten times the usual requirement) and returning beyond the Wall.[2b][3][4]
