The game is a third person brawler/shooter, where the character uses his bolter to engage enemies at a distance until he can get close enough for close quarters fighting, which is where most engagements will be decided.

A sequel, Space Marine II, was released in 2024 and third title, Space Marine III, has been announced in development.
