Macharian Sector
The Macharian Sector is an Imperial Segmentum Pacificus Sector, that is named in honor of Lord Commander Solar Macharius, whose Crusade conquered the region.[1]
History
The Macharian Sector was first founded by Lord Solar Macharius during the Macharian Crusade, largely from Human worlds liberated or settled. The region was devastated in the subsequent Macharian Heresy, but the Administratum and Ecclesiarchy oversaw widespread rebuilding in the aftermath thanks to the efforts of heroes such as Lord Sejanus. Sejanus became the first Lord of the Sector, and oversaw a long reign. Until the Noctis Aeterna, the Macharius Sector was known as prosperous and relatively peaceful.[2]
Though Imperium now only controls a portion of the Sector in the wake of the Macharian Heresy and Ork Waaagh!'s, what remained was a region teeming with industrious worlds. They aided the Macharian Sector in being productive for over five centuries, until the coming of the Great Rift's Noctis Aeterna. That galactic disaster brought ruin to the Sector's Imperial worlds and many are ruinous shadows of their former selves. While its Sector Lord, Aulus Sejanus, is seeking to rebuild the shattered region, many are opposing or even suborning his efforts to do so.[1]
