Traitor Guardsmen

A Renegade or Chaos Renegade is a person who has willingly turned their allegiance to the forces of Chaos.

The term "Renegade" implies that the person is a turncoat, a traitor; such persons are likely to join allegiance to Chaos and participate during Battles in the same manner as Imperial Guard Platoons do, fighting against their once brothers in arms. Many renegades are not forgiven/redeemed by the Emperor for their treacherous act against the Imperium.^[1]
